Staff & Board of Directors
Who makes the magic happen? Excellent question. Here’s the team steering the bus, pumping the gas, checking the oil, and washing the windshield.

Staff
Richelle DeVoe, Field Director / Sheriff of KNOCKINGham
After playing a pivotal role in fighting Montana’s largest incident of voter suppression in 2008, Richelle dove into democracy. Richelle became the National Field Coordinator for Trick or Vote just one day after graduating with honors from the Political Science Department at the University of Montana in 2010. After successfully coordinating Trick or Vote events in over 38 states, Richelle has taken on the role of directing Trick or Vote nationally and coordinating National Voter Registration Day’s field efforts.
Henry Kraemer, Program Director / Secretary of States
Before turning 21, Henry co-found Students for Barack Obama, and coordinated field for a U.S. Senate campaign. Since then, he’s served four years as Political and Organizing Director of the Oregon Bus Project, managed a citywide campaign, and “earned” a B.S. (aptly named) in Political Science from Portland State University. Henry runs the Bus’s affiliate support, expansion and national program. When not Bussin’, Henry tries to get better at running and worse at watching the same four shows on Netflix over and over again.
Jonathan “JP” Paik, Operations & Development Associate / Swagzilla
JP started work at the Bus Federation in September of 2011, organizing the first Bus Drivers’ conference and helping the Fed roll in the dough. As a Summer 2011 PolitiCorps fellow, JP helped coordinate a campaign with the Urban League of Portland, getting health equity surveys and signing low-income children up for healthcare. Previously, JP worked as a programmer for a class that addressed moral and ethical reasoning in a diverse society, establishing the foundation for his work in social justice. Yeah, buddy. Rollin’ like a big shot.
Matt Singer, Executive Director / Fall Guy
Matt is an organizer, a writer, a small business owner, and a three-time college dropout. His writing and/or exploits have made their way into the pages of The New Republic, In These Times, and The Washington Post. In 2004, he helped found Forward Montana. He believes in 1) Democracy, 2) Fun, and 3) Winning. Not always in that order. Senator Jon Tester once called him “one smart dude.” The New Leaders Council named him one of “40 Under 40″ in 2010.
